A futuristic cyborg caught between analog creativity and digital light

Why this site?

Why even have a website, am I that important, and aren't there already enough cranks out there?

The internet is packed with information, tips, travel stories, tutorials, and now AI is stepping into the room as well.

AI is not only watering down content with millions of fake stories and what people now call AI slop, but the AIs from big companies like Google will probably make sure that hardly anyone visits individual websites anymore.

You have a question, you ask the AI, and it gives you the perfect, satisfying answer, maybe even nicely designed and visualized for you. Done. That is going to be a whole new internet age.

That said, AI is here to change the world, and I am a huge fan.

I use AI wherever it makes sense, just definitely not to invent experiences I never had.

Even though I see the future of websites in a pretty dystopian way, I still enjoy sharing the colorful marbles in my head with the world. And who knows, maybe I am wrong after all.

And on top of that, you cannot imagine the emotional value the old blog from my walk to the Mediterranean has for me. I read those entries again and again and look through the photos all the time.

The moment I do, everything comes back: feelings, smells, encounters, effort, joy, all of it, as if it happened yesterday. Even things I had completely forgotten return.

To me, that really is a treasure.

Have you ever read one or several posts like that? How do you like them?
